Benedictine Clay Shooting Sports Team Starts GISA Season on Mark

Benedictine Sport Shooting had a strong start at Saturday's season-opening GISA qualifying meet at Forest City Gun Club. The Cadets finished in second place behind Pinewood. BC, posting 881 points, fell short of the overall lead today by 18 points.

Lead shooter for the Cadets was junior Jackson Schaaf, who had a great day on the course, finishing first overall out of 110 shooters with 194 points, shooting 50/50 in skeet, 49/50 in trap, and 95/100 in sporting. Jackson was the only Cadet to finish in the top 10 today, but rounding out the top 20 were Sam Connor with 174 points, Pete Hodge with 172 points, Jake Kinlaw with 171 points, and Walker Brooks with 170 points.
