Catching Up with the The Habersham School's Athletes of the Week

Reeder Chambers is your Habersham Athlete of the Week for March 29th 

Reeder pitched four shutout innings against Jenkins on Saturday while also going 2/3 at the plate with four RBIs. "Reeder has battled back from injury to play an integral part of our team both on and off the field," said Coach Rowland.

Dabney Anderson is your Habersham Athlete of the Week from March 22th. 

Fifth-grader Dabney Anderson has compiled a perfect 3-0 record at number one singles for the middle school girls tennis team. Patriot Tennis coaches had this to say about Dabney.

"Dabney plays with consistency and has determination in every point of the match," said Coach Shippy.

"She is a fierce competitor and fun to watch. Her work ethic at practice and outside of practice inspires others to want to play more." Coach Hunt added, "Dabney is a gifted and natural player who plays at an extremely high level for her age.

The "Coach" Karl DeMasi has been teaching and coaching for the past 35 years on all levels of academia and athletics. One of his hobbies has been writing, announcing and talking about sports. DeMasi has been involved in the Savannah Area sports scene since 1995, and he created the high school magazine "The Prep Sports Report" in 2000. In 2010, the "Coach" started broadcasting The Karl DeMasi Sports Report. He's still going strong, broadcasting on Facebook live and Twitter live every Saturday morning. You gotta love it!
