Local Prep Lacrosse Players Run Away with GHSA All-Area 8 Lacrosse Honors

The 2021 season for local prep lacrosse teams scored a goal by completing the entire season and the players ran away with honors. Last year the Covid-19 pandemic was the winner by causing the 2020 season to shut down early. Newcomers to the region were Calvary Day School and Savannah Country Day. Benedictine captured the regular-season championship at the end of the season, followed by Richmond Hill, Savannah Country Day, and Effingham County. The top four teams in the area went on to the state playoffs. The final standings are below.

After the season, the coaches chose the GHSA All-Area 8 Lacrosse team. The Team consisted of a First-team, Second Team, and an honorable mentiond by positions. The Prep Sports Report listed the selections below by school alphabetically, not by who received the most votes.
