Day two of the Savannah Country Day Holiday Showcase tips off today at 9:30 a.m. This is the first high school basketball tournament to use the 30-second clock. All Georgia High School Association games will have a mandatory shot-clock beginning with the 2022-23 season. Savannah Country Day boys' basketball coach Demetrius Smith, the showcase coordinator, had this to say about using a 30-second clock on the first day of the three-day showcase.
"Everything went pretty good on the first day. Maybe there were five or six shot clock violations all day," stated Smith. "Overall, players and coaches did a great job." The showcase continues today and finishes on Wednesday, December 30, 2020. Games tipoff at 9:30 a.m. today, December 29, 2020.
