This week’s Savannah Christian Preparatory School Athlete of the Week is Sarah Byrd! Sarah shot 14-19 from the free-throw line last week while also averaging 10 points, 9 rebounds, 2 blocks, and hitting a game-winning free-throw with .03 seconds on the clock to defeat Islands.
Sarah has been playing basketball most of her life and hopes to make the team better overall by using her leadership as a captain this season. Sarah’s favorite memory was beating Calvary last year. She says her favorite thing about being a Raider is being able to incorporate Christianity into everything the team does and playing with a team that is like a family.
When asked what it means to be named SCPS AOTW, Sarah said, “It is an honor, and I take great pride in this accomplishment.” Please join us in congratulating Sarah Byrd on being named this week’s SCPS Athlete of the Week!
