The Savannah Area Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) 5th Annual All Star Classic Baseball game is SOLD OUT.  The game is tomorrow night, Monday, June 22, at Grayson Stadium, with gates opening at 5:30 p.m., senior recognition 6 p.m., and the first pitch, to be thrown out by Savannah Mayor Van Johnson, is set for 6:30 p.m. If it rains or the game is rained out, the rain date is Tuesday, June 23. The Savannah Bananas organization limited the number of fans to just 500. It is the hottest ticket in town! When you go out to Grayson Stadium Monday afternoon, there are a few items you will want to keep in mind.

It was announced in April that attendance would be severely limited due to social distancing. Now, with collaboration and approval from the Department of Public Health and the Savannah Bananas, here are the full details of precautions are as follows:

  1. All Fans entering Historic Grayson Stadium will have their temperature checked prior to entering. Fans who show a temperature of 100.4F or greater will be asked to rest for fifteen minutes and tested again. Any fan who maintains a temperature of 100.4F or greater will be asked to return home and to contact a medical provider or the DPH.
  2. Attendance has been decreased to ensure seating flexibility for social distancing. Fans who consider themselves a ‘group’ (same household, family, partners, caregiver, etc.) will be able to sit together without social distancing.
  3. Lines will be marked to maintain proper social distancing.
  4. Face coverings for fans will be strongly encouraged. If a fan does not have a face covering and would like one, complimentary disposable masks will be available.
  5. Over 30 hand sanitizer stations will be available throughout the park.
  6. Bathroom doors will be propped open to eliminate a high touch surface.
  7. Signage will be placed prominently around stadium to remind fans about protective measures.
  8. Plexiglass will be installed in food and beverage service window areas.
  9. Certain food and beverage items have changed to pre-packaged service.
  10. Buffet style service will be served by Bananas staff instead of being picked up by fans.
  11. Communal condiment areas have been removed for individual packet condiments.
  12. Interaction with players, characters, mascots, etc. will be limited by social distancing.

Employees:

  1. All employees will wear face coverings; gloves will be worn in appropriate places, which has always been standard.
  2. Employees are eligible for work only after receiving negative COVID-19 results.
  3. All employees will be screened for COVID-19 symptoms prior to each shift.
  4. All employees will continue to be trained with best food safety practices from FDA and DPH.
  5. High touch surfaces will have special attention for additional disinfecting and cleaning using FDA approved sprays.
