Savannah Christian sophomore Mary Miller carded scores of 67-65 to finish 12-under par for 36 holes, propelling the Red Raiders to a Georgia High School Association Class A state golf championship on May 17 at Governor's Towne Club in Acworth, Ga.

The Savannah Christian team, which won by seven strokes, consisted of Miller, Ava Cottis and Ryland Hurd. The scores for Miller and Cottis counted toward the team competition after both rounds, with Cottis carding rounds of 79-79 to finish T9.

Despite being 12-under par, Miller finished runner-up by five strokes to Ther Kotchasanmanee from the Darlington School. In 36 holes, Miller recorded 13 birdies and an eagle.
