St. Vincent's Reagan Aliotta catches the 4th Grassi/PSR Flag Football Player of the Week

Catching the fourth Prep Sports Report/Grassi Roofing Girl's Player of the Week Award goes to Reagan Aliotta of St. Vincent's Academy!

 

Player: Reagan Aliotta, Senior – Wide Reciever

School: St. Vincent's Academy

Sport: Flag football 

Week: October 31, 2022 - November 4, 2022

Games: November 1, 2022, vs. Savannah Arts Academy; November 2, 2022, vs. New Hampstead

 

Last week: As a wide receiver for SVA versus the Arts Academy in a 44-0 victory, Aliotta hauled six passes for 113 yards with two touchdowns.

 

The next night in another Saint's triumph, 22-6, against region rival New Hampstead, Reagan caught four passes for 56 yards with one touchdown catch. 

 

Reagan caught ten passes for 169 yards and three touchdowns for the week. Aliotta has caught 23 passes for 414 yards this season, averaging 18 yards per catch with seven touchdowns. 

Coach's Comments: 

"Reagan is an incredible competitor and challenges for every ball thrown her direction. She has excellent instincts on routes against the zone and the talent to beat anyone across from her. This was on full display against Savannah Arts and New Hampstead last week when she secured crucial scores when we needed it the most." SVA Coach Mike St. Louis

 

Other Flag Football Players nominated - 

Islands High School - Sydney Polite, junior quarterback/defensive back

  • Sydney threw two touchdowns and ran for one in the Sharks' 19-0 win over Savannah Arts. She also threw for 116 yards and rushed for 48.

Woodville Tompkins - Zoey Simmons, junior running back

  • Zoey had ten rushing attempts for 62 yards and ran for two touchdowns.

New Hampstead High School Team Defense vs. Calvary Day School

  • Shut out Calvary 25 to 0, 4 interceptions, 1 returned for a touchdown, three sacks, kept calvary out of the red zone

 

Note: How are players nominated for the Grassi Roofing Prep Sports Report Flag Football player of the week? Tell your coach to select a player from your team by the Monday following the week of play. Then the player's coach should send the nominee (s) for the Grassi Roofing Prep Sports Report Flag Football player of the week to the PSR. Then the Prep Sports Report selects the player to be posted on the PSR website and social media sources.
