The Habersham School moves in the GAPPS State Playoffs
The Habersham School competed in the first and second rounds of the Georgia Association of Parochial and Private Schools (GAPPS) DI State Tournament in Sparta, GA, and won both matches to advance to the semifinal round. In the first round, The Lady Patriots defeated Grace Christian out of Bainbridge, GA 2-0 by scores of 25-16, 25-19. Jordan Christy led the way with 13 kills, Makenzie Sparks added 4 kills, and Lucy Kelly had 17 assists.
In the second round match, Habersham defeated Central Christian out of Sharpsburg, GA 25-12, 25-12, 25-10. Christy had 20 kills, Anna Thompson added 5 kills, Jenna Kate Welch had 4 kills, Peyton Burnsed had 10 digs and Lucy Kelly had 26 assists. With the wins, Habersham advances to the semifinals this Saturday in Macon. A win would put them in the championship match later that day. The Lady Patriots are going for their 5th state championship in the last 6 years.

St. Vincent’s Aces Two GHSA 6A Schools
St. Vincent’s Academy took on two Georgia High School State Association 6 A teams on Tuesday, October 13th. The Saints had a great showing defeating Glynn Academy and Brunswick High School each 2-0. Saint Vincent’s Academy takes on Calvary Day School tomorrow for the 2nd place seed in and to host a first round GHSA Private AA/A state volleyball game next week. It’ll will be a big match at Calvary starting at 5:30pm.
