Carter Holton, a recent Benedictine Military School student/athlete graduate and baseball standout, has been named Georgia's best high school baseball player.

Holton, a left-handed pitcher and first baseman, was named Prep Baseball Report's Georgia Player of the Year.

Holton was also named Baseball Player of the Year by the Savannah Morning News for the third time.

Holton would assist Benedictine in advancing to the GHSA Class AAAA State Championship Series as a senior.

Carter would finish his prep career 9-2 as a pitcher. Holton struck out 137 batters in 59 innings. During the 2021 season, he would pitch two perfect games and one no-hitter.

Holton was a threat at the plate also. Carter had a .429 batting average with a dozen home runs, ten doubles, and 41 RBIs.

The Vanderbilt signee could be a first-round pick in this July's Major League Baseball Draft.
