For the first time in Memorial Day School's history, a student-athlete has been named to the Georgia Independant Athletic Association (GIAA) All-State Basketball team two years in a row.

MATAS AIDIETIS, a 6'8", 205-pound senior from Lithuania, was chosen by the GIAA coaches for the honor and was named to the Senior All-Star team.

Aidietis averages 16 points, 12 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 blocks per game.

The Senior exchange student is considering some college options now and hopes to announce his intentions to stay in the USA to pursue his dream of playing at the next level.
