Make the Catch, Keep the Season Alive: GHSA Playoffs Are Here Today

It’s win-or-go-home time for 11 Savannah Area flag football teaams as the GHSA football playoffs kicks off today. From Savannah to Atlanta and beyond, local teams take the field knowing one thing is guaranteed—there’s no tomorrow without a win. Here’s the full First Round schedule across Divisions 3, 2, and 1 for local teams.


 

GHSA Division 3 — First Round (Today)

Division 3 opens with a full slate and multiple local teams in action.

Richmond Hill Quadrant

  • Lithonia (6-5-1) vs. Richmond Hill (12-1) 5 p.m.
  • Peach County (10-8) vs. Douglas (12-3) 6 p.m.
    Winners advance later the same night. Richmond Hill hosts Rounds 1 and 2.

Whitewater Quadrant

  • South Effingham (11-4) vs. Winder-Barrow (13-4) 6 p.m.
  • Whitewater (19-3) vs. Luella (12-6)  5 p.m.

North Oconee Quadrant

  • Effingham County (8-8) vs. North Oconee (17-3) 5 p.m.
  • Ola (8-2) vs. Trinity Christian (14-7-1) 6 p.m.

One night decides who moves on.


GHSA Division 2 — First Round (Today)

Division 2 brings postseason football to Savannah and several road tests.

Jenkins Quadrant

  • Jenkins (17-1) vs. Mt. Zion (7-71) (Jones County) 5 p.m.
  • Drew Charter (6-7) vs. Pike County (12-5) 6 p.m.
    Winners advance to Round 2 the same night.

Jonesboro Quadrant

  • New Hampstead (14-5) vs. Jonesboro (14-0) 5:30 p.m.
  • Stephenson (9-10-1) vs. Mary Persons  (11-8) 6:30 p.m.

Redan Quadrant

  • Groves (18-2) vs. Lovejoy (8-10) 6:30 p.m.
  • Central (Macon) (6-7) vs. Redan (14-4) 5:30 p.m.

Westside–Macon Quadrant

  • Calvary Day (13-7) vs. Riverdale (13-4-1)  5:15 p.m.
  • Westside–Macon (16-0)  vs. Cedar Grove (4-14) 4 p.m.

GHSA Division 1 — First Round (Today)

Home fields matter, but nothing will come easy in Division 1.

St. Vincent’s Academy Quadrant

  • St. Vincent’s Academy (9-4) vs. Richmond Academy 14-7 5 p.m.
  • LaGrange ( 7-7) vs. Telfair County (15-2) 6 p.m.
    Rounds 1 and 2 hosted at SVA.

Washington-Wilkes Quadrant

  • Savannah Christian (4-8) vs. Washington-Wilkes (15-4) 5 p.m.
  • Dodge County (14-3)  vs. Heard County (17-1) 6 p.m.

Fitzgerald Quadrant

  • Savannah Country Day (8-5) vs. Jefferson County (17-6)  6:15 p.m.
  • Fitzgerald (18-1) vs. Troup (3-10) 5 p.m.

Harris County Quadrant

  • Woodville-Tompkins (11-5) vs. Hephzibah (15-5) 6 p.m.
  • Harris County (18-3) vs. Wheeler County (8-8) 5 p.m.

Every kickoff tonight carries the same message: survive and advance. Some teams will move one step closer to a state title, others will see their seasons end under the lights. Either way, the road to a championship begins now.
