Miller and Newton move on to the Round of 16 at US Women's Fourball

Savannah Christian senior and future Georgia Southern University golfer Mary Miller teamed with former Georgia Southern golfer Abby Newton defeated Angela and Glorida Nip from Port St. Lucie, Fla., 6 & 5, on May 13 to advance to the Round of 16 at the US Women's Amateur Four-Ball Championship being played at Oak Hill Country Club in San Antonio, Texas.

The duo has now advanced to play partners Vanessa Borovilos from Toronto and Cara Heisterkamp from Westlake, Ohio. Borovilo has committed to playing college golf at Texas A&M University, while Heisterkamp will play for Indiana University.

Miller, the 2022 and 2023 Georgia Girls Championship winner, has committed to play golf at Georgia Southern starting in 2024-25, and Newton completed a stellar four-year college career at Georgia Southern in 2024.
