Savannah, GA (February 1, 2024) – The Savannah Christian Preparatory School (SCPS) football program announced the addition of Dominique Allen as their new Offensive Coordinator. Dominique Allen brings a wealth of experience and passion to the coaching staff.
Athletic Director Greg Phillips stated, "Dominique represents the character and personality with which we desire to surround our student-athletes to help them achieve their goals and aspirations. He understands what is needed for a high school student-athlete to be successful at a high level on and off the field."
Allen, a Richmond Hill native and a former Richmond Hill High School standout
football player, brings a successful playing career to the table. After graduating, Dominique quarterbacked The Citadel, securing the starting position in his sophomore year and leading the team for three seasons. His coaching journey saw him in various roles at The Citadel, including Assistant Quarterbacks Coach, A-Backs Coach, and Assistant Offensive Line Coach from 2020 to 2023.
Head Coach Baker Woodward stated, "Dominique has a thorough knowledge of offensive football from his days playing Quarterback at Citadel and coaching various positions the last few years. He is ahead of his time when it comes to offensive football. He will build on our previous success but put his spin on the offense. He relates well to our players and coaches, and we look forward to welcoming his family to SCPS."
Beyond his coaching duties, Allen will join the SCPS upper school academic staff. Allen stated, "I am extremely fortunate and blessed to join the SCPS community and coaching staff. It's always been a dream of mine to be an offensive coordinator at a premier program like SCPS. I look forward to working with the athletes and aiding them in any way possible to turn their dreams into realities like so many coaches did for me."
