Savannah Quarterback Club Hands Off Week 9 High School Football Players of the Week: Jenkin's Albert, Benedicitne's Guyton Honored

The Savannah Quarterback Club handed off Week 9 high school football trophies to two local players during their weekly Monday meeting in Savannah, Georgia, on October 23, 2023.

 

Offensive Player of the Week:

Jayaun Albert RB, Jenkins

For the Offensive Player of the Week, Jenkins' junior running back, Jayaun Albert, stood out with a remarkable performance. Albert carved up the field, accumulating 123 yards on just 11 carries and notching two touchdowns in the Warriors' resounding 24-0 victory over Greenbrier.

 

Defensive Player of the Week:

Areyion Guyton LB, Benedictine

The Benedictine's junior linebacker, Areyion Guyton, earned the Defensive Player of the Week. Guyton was all over the field as he recorded a team-high 11 total tackles, including six for loss and one quarterback pressure, in the Cadets' commanding 28-7 triumph over Southeast Bulloch.
