Unsung, Unseen, Essential: Parker Resources Honors Savannah-Area Assistant Football Coaches

Assistant coaches focus on players, preparation, and doing the job right, and are unsung, unseen, and essential. They are the head coach’s right hand, coaching the details, running drills, teaching position groups, and building trust. Long after games end, assistant coaches’ work keeps football programs strong year after year.

Their work matters. Parker Resources created the Georgia Assistant Coaches of the Year awards to recognize high school assistants across Georgia who do the job right—working behind the scenes, building culture, and helping teams succeed. Since 2021, Parker Resources has named assistant coaches of the year on its website. The site also offers resources for coaches and athletic directors to support high school football programs.

This tradition of recognizing those who make a difference behind the scenes continues this year with the following Prep Sports Report area school coverage honorees. Congratulations to all recipients.
