Joe Fusile, a former standout football player from Richmond Hill High School (Class of 2021), has come a long way since his days as a player at left tackle in high school. Attending Georgia Tech Fusile's journey exemplifies the importance of hardwork and commitment.

According to an article on the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets Sports Illustrated site called "2024 Position Preview Series, Offensive Line: Yellow Jackets Return Four Starters Up Front" by Jackson Caudell, last season Georgia Tech led the ACC in rushing yards, showing that their offensive line, including players like Fusile, was very effective.

During the 2023 football season at Georgia Tech as a redshirt sophomore, Fusile significantly elevated his performance. He played in all twelve games and logged 819 snaps. His exceptional play did not go unnoticed; he received the Pro Football Focus (PFF) grade among his offensive linemen, scoring 71.3. This rating positions him as an above-average starter at guard, underscoring his growth and talent.

Fusile excelled in pass blocking. He achieved pass-blocking grades exceeding 80 in matchups against Louisville, South Carolina State, and Georgia. These showcases demonstrate his reliability and consistency in safeguarding the quarterback, a responsibility for any lineman.

Fusile is not only a great player but also a strong leader. Because of his respect and influence among teammates and coaches, he was selected as captain for the 2023 season. He was also nominated for the Burlsworth Trophy for the second consecutive year. This award recognizes the best college football player who originally joined the team as a walk-on.

Looking forward to the 2024 season, Fusile is expected to continue as a starting player on the line. His journey from being an outstanding athlete at Richmond Hill High School to becoming a leader and performer at Georgia Tech who inspires young athletes from the Hill and Savannah, Georgia, area that hardwork and committment pays off.
