"Kiffin has been committed to the SVA Athletics program throughout her high school career. She has lettered in softball and sailing for 3 years and in track and field for 4 years. She holds the SVA triple jump record at 32'2". In 2019, her top 100 meter hurdle time was 17.93 seconds, and in 2020 was 17.89. Her hard work and determination have led her to this momentous occasion today, where she will sign with the University of Montevallo as part of the track and field program," stated Tuten
On the following Wednesday, December 9th, in the SVA courtyard again, standout Saint Soccer player Emma Beddow signed with Columbus State University. Here are Emma's career highlights as told to the audience by St. Vincent's athletic director Diana Tuten.
Tuten said, "Emma has been committed to the St. Vincent's soccer program and has lettered in varsity from her freshman year on as a Saint. In 2018 as a 9th grader, she finished the season with 29 goals and 15 assists. Her sophomore year, Beddow finished with 14 goals and 3 assists. Despite COVID interfering with the conclusion of a dominant 2020 soccer season, she led the team in assists and was awarded SVA's 2020 Most Assists for her junior year. Emma contributed greatly to two state championships for the school and was well on the way to bringing in a third her junior year. Her hard work and determination have led her to this momentous occasion today, where she will sign with Columbus State University as part of their soccer program."
