And There was One Left out of Nine - Islands High School Chomps Swims an Elite Eight Volleyball Berth!

The Islands High School volleyball team advances to the Elite 8 in the GHSA Class 4A state playoffs on Saturday afternoon after a 3-0 win against Ridgeland High School. The Sharks will now face Marist in an Elite 8 game on Wednesday, with the start time announced.

Game Overview: GHSA Sweet Sixteen Islands Recap:

Islands continue in the postseason after defeating Ridgeland 3-0 in the Sweet 16. Leading for the Sharks were Aislinn Lanigan (29 assists, 12 digs, and 3 kills), Veronica Sierzant (15 kills and 9 digs), Hannah Summerall (5 blocks, 9 digs, 4 kills, and 3 aces), Delaney Gordon (5 kills and 6 digs), and Isabel Duck (8 digs).
