John Carr Seaport Real Estate Prep Sports Report Baseball Players of the Week for Week #2 (Feb. 17-23, 2025)

Two standout performances on the field have earned Bryan County High School's Eli Koskela and HV Jenkins High School's DJ Rohan the John Carr Seaport Real Estate Prep Sports Report Baseball Players of the Week for Feb. 17-23, 2025. Koskela dominated on the mound with a complete-game win, while Rohan made an impact at the plate and on the field.

Pitcher of the Week – Eli Koskela (Bryan County High School, Sophomore)

Koskela led Bryan County to a 12-1 victory over Liberty County, throwing a complete game while allowing just one run, one walk and striking out seven batters. 

Kyle Farmer, Bryan County's head baseball coach, praised Koskela's all-around contributions.

"Eli is a standout player known for his leadership, grit, and versatility. His work ethic is unmatched, setting a great example for teammates. He's a valuable asset to Bryan County High School, both in the classroom and in the community."

Player of the Week – DJ Rohan (Jenkins High School, Senior)

Rohan delivered on both sides of the ball, recording 16 strikeouts, four hits, two doubles, an RBI, and a .667 slugging percentage in three games played for the Warriors. His 2.722 OPS (On-base Slugging Percentage) showcased his impact at the plate while making four defensive putouts. 

Jenkins head baseball coach Seth Gaspin highlighted Rohan's leadership.

"DJ has quickly become everything you want your team leader to be. He has a relentless work ethic and is always pushing himself and his teammates to be the best versions of themselves. He is a great member of the locker room and has the respect of every one of his teammates."
