Dollander wins Boys 14-15 at Sea Palms Junior Classic

Hal "Bear" Dollander carded scores of 68-75 to win the Boys 14-15 age group at th Southeastern Junior Golf Tour's Sea Palms Junior Classic played at Sea Palms Resort on St. Simon's Island June 5-6.

The top three finishers in the age group were all from Savannah and will all be teammates at Benedictine Military School next year. Dollander is an incoming freshman, rising sophomore Hamp Threlkeld finished second after scores of 74-71 and incoming freshman Jack Weeks was third after posting scores of 78-68.

There were five players from the Savannah area in the top of the Boys 14-15 age group with Richmond Hill's Ledger Conley finishing fourth with scores of 75-71 and Savannah Christian rising sophomore Elliott Oliver placing T7 after carding score of 75-79.

Dollander, 15, claimed his third victory of the 2023 on the Southeastern Junior Golf Tour and is the overall points leader for the Boys 14-15 age group. As a homeschooled 8th grader, he also competed for the Habersham School's varsity golf team during the spring and claimed low medalist honors with a score of 2-under par 70 at the Georgia Association of Private & Parochial Schools DII state golf tournament played on the East Course at Bull Creek Golf Course in Columbus, Ga., on May 8.
