Game-Changer Alert: SVA Alum Sarah Stewart Named Head Coach of SVA!

Savannah, GA: St. Vincent's Academy is thrilled to introduce the new head coach for SVA's Volleyball team! Sarah Stewart will lead the varsity program for the 2024 season! 

"I am incredibly thankful and excited to give back to a program that brought me so much love for the sport. Go Saints!" - Sarah Stewart

 

Sarah was All-State 2A Player of the Year in volleyball and was voted GVCA Player of the Year. She helped lead the Saints to a State Championship in volleyball in 2016 and also won two State Championships in soccer. She played indoor and beach volleyball at Mercer University and indoor at Georgia College. In 2021, she was all-PBC Second Team and on the 2021 Team of Academic Distinction. She is thrilled to bring her volleyball background and coaching expertise to the Saints Volleyball program!

 

SVA is very excited to have Sarah take the reins from former coach Nichols St. Louis. 

 

"This program has always been strong, and I have been blessed to have been able to be apart of SVA Volleyball for the past 5 years. The 2024 team is incredibly talented and I'm so excited to watch them remain dominant in this upcoming season!" - Coach St. Louis.

 

Nichols St. Louis is transitioning from Athletic Director and Coach to Athletic Director and Registrar for SVA. 

 

Please help us give a warm welcome to Coach Stewart as she takes on SVA Volleyball!

The "Coach" Karl DeMasi has been teaching and coaching for the past 35 years on all levels of academia and athletics. One of his hobbies has been writing, announcing and talking about sports. DeMasi has been involved in the Savannah Area sports scene since 1995, and he created the high school magazine "The Prep Sports Report" in 2000. In 2010, the "Coach" started broadcasting The Karl DeMasi Sports Report. He's still going strong, broadcasting on Facebook live and Twitter live every Saturday morning. You gotta love it!
