Sophomore catcher softball player Gracie LaFleur of Effingham County High School, was named the John Carr Seaport Real Estate/Prep Sports Report Softball Player of the Week and is being recognized for her outstanding performance during the week of Sep. 4-10.
LaFleur hit .705 (12-for-17) throughout four games with one double, two triples, and seven RBI. "Gracie is well deserving of this honor. She doesn't just show up every day going through the motions. She is a very vocal leader and one of the hardest workers we have," said Effingham County head softball coach Bradley Thompson. "Gracie is simply " a softball player!" Her maturity behind the plate is very recognizable by our coaching staff, her peers, and fans in attendance. I'm excited to witness Gracie continue to mature into a even more dominant player."
