Benedictine Military School's cross country team secured a Top 5 finish at the Georgia High School Association 4A Sectional 1 (Regions 1, 2, 4, 8) meet on November 2, 2024, at Jones County High School Cross Country Course, Gray, GA.

Benedictine finished the race with an impressive performance, highlighted by two top-10 individual finishes. Sophomore runner Cole Minnich led the pack, earning the top podium with a personal best at 15:56.67, while teammate senior John Dodson placed 9th, finishing at 16:24.18.

According to Cadets head Cross-Country Coach Kevin Farmer, after their last race at Bleckley, the team set clear goals: to win the Region 1 AAAA Championship and secure a Top 5 placement at Sectionals. Both goals have now been accomplished, as he stated.

"We will regroup as a team on Monday and check results from the other Sectionals," said Farmer. "Then we'll establish new objectives as a team and set individual goals for our runners as they prepare to compete at the State Championship in Carrollton."
