Highlight: In consecutive games, two HV Jenkins Warriors pitchers threw no-hitters. Junior Conner Bote and senior Kaleb Baker combined to achieve this feat on back-to-back days. On opening day for the Warriors, which was on February 14, 2024, Bote pitched for five innings, during which he didn't allow any hits and struck out eight Groves batters, leading the Warriors to a 10-0 victory against Groves. The following day, February 15, 2024, senior Kaleb Baker pitched four innings, leading Jenkins to a 16-0 win over New Hampstead by striking out eight batters and not allowing any hits.
Coach's Comments: Connor Bote is a junior who we have put into tough situations since he was a freshman. He's starting to see the results of those rough outings by getting some quality innings and good results.
Kaleb Baker is an athletic senior who has stepped up his game, put work in on the mound in the off-season, and is starting to see some quality starts. It's not about the opponent; it's about treating every pitch like you might not get another one. - HV Jenkins Head baseball Coach Seth Gaspin

The John Carr Seaport Real Estate Baseball Player of the Week award is up for grabs, and Prep Sports Report is looking for nominees. Do you have a favorite
