Three teams advanced to the Sweet 16 of the Georgia High School Association, and one moved on to the Final Four. Savannah Arts Academy (27-15)  is the last area team standing in the high school volleyball state playoffs and is returning to the final again for the third straight season!

The Panthers kept their championship hopes alive with a dominant victory in the Class 2A state quarterfinals, sweeping Jackson (26-12) 3-0 with set scores of 25-9, 25-15, and 25-12. The win sends Savannah Arts to the semifinals, where they will face the Columbus Blue Devils (26-20) at Lovett High School on Saturday.

In the Class 3A-1A Private Division, Savannah Christian and St. Vincent's Academy saw their seasons come to an end. Savannah Christian (31-10) fell to Lovett (28-14) 3-0, with set scores of 25-22, 25-19, and 25-14.
