Savannah Arts Academy Still Pawing the Competition & Still Undefeated

The Savannah Arts Academy volleyball team remains undefeated, after defeating rival Islands High School on Tuesday September 22nd and AJC Class A Public school  #2 ranked Woodville - Tompkins High School on Thursday September 24th.  

The Panthers are now 8-0 overall in the season. They dominated the first set of the game 24-14 over the Sharks. Then, in the second set, the Arts Academy held off Islands 25-20. In the first game of the Tri-match, the Panthers defeated Jenkins in two straight sets, 25-7 and 25-3. 

Senior setter Jo Brosseau said, “Our team, being as tight as it is, did not disappoint tonight with this highly expected match. Each player had the right mindset, and the mental toughness developed into physical toughness on the court. When adversity struck, we could conquer it and continue forward with two high-level sets. Overall, we all performed at a high-level tonight, and I couldn’t be prouder to be a Panther.” 

Savannah Arts Academy Coach Lauren Lord was proud of her team.  “Tonight, was a grand night to be a Panther. To coach this team and watch them grow every game is an amazing experience. They come into practice with the mentality to want to grow together and to make each other better.”  The Panters are getting better and better and the unblemished record supports it! The Panthers are now 8-0 overall and 3-0 in the region.
