Savannah Junior City am champions crowned at Bacon Park

Benedictine Military School junior Joseph Cetti carded scores of 77-82 to win the Boys Open division of the 2024 Savannah Junior City Amateur Championship played at Bacon Park Golf Course October 26-27.

In the Girls Open division, Maya Lilja-Vazquez posted rounds of 81-78 to claim the title in a runaway. In the Boys 15-18 age group, 13-year-old Carson Hayes put together rounds of 79-82 to earn a two-stroke victory, and Ainsley Sheffeild won the Girls 15-18 age group by 10 strokes.

Cetti held a two stroke lead over fellow BC junior Henry Schubert after one round and played steadily in the second round to capture the title.

Statesboro's Bryson and Brantley Lott pulled off a rare double by winning the Boys 10-12 age group and Boys 13-14 age group. Bryson Lott played two rounds in scores of 74-77 to win Boys 13-14 by 14 strokes, and Brantley Lott stormed back from a six-shot first-round deficit to with the Boys 10-12 age group with scores of 77-76.
