SAVANNAH, Ga. (Jan. 30, 2024) - St. Vincent's rifle team continued their dominance over Benedictine, edging out the Cadets 1104-1075 on Tuesday night. This marks the 15th victory for the Saints over their rivals in the last 16 years, solidifying their hold on the sister school region rivalry.

Autumn Wolff, St. Vincent's leading shooter, shot an impressive 282 out of 300. The rest of the team also performed exceptionally well, with Isabella Keating scoring 277, Nicole Sapone scoring 274, and Katelyn Mundy finishing with 271, including a perfect 100 in the prone discipline.

Benedicitne's top four shooters were Cooper Winters with a team-high score of 280, followed by Aidan Rachel with 276, Lawrence Babbitt with 272, and Hadden Dart with 247.

The win starts a new streak for St. Vincent's against Benedictine after the Saints lost to the Cadets last year. Before last year's loss, the Saints had won 14 straight matches against BC.

St. Vincent's Academy and Benedictine High School have a season record of 4-3. In their recent match with the win, St. Vincent's owns the tiebreaker if these teams finished tied in area play.

Both schools are part of the Georgia High School Association Riflery Area 3 conference, which includes ten other teams: Beach, Bradwell Institute, Brunswick, Camden County, Glynn Academy, Savannah High, Southeast Bulloch, Statesboro, Ware County, and Windsor Forest.
