Another year in the books……
Another reminder that the Savannah area has some really outstanding athletes and coaches.

Great coaches.
Great teams.
And a great person behind the scene helping make it all happen.

The 2025-26 Coastal Empire High School Sports Awards brought many of the top athletes in the 912 together at the Savannah Convention Center on Friday, June 5, 2026, for a night recognizing hard work, big moments, and great seasons.

From state champions…
to comeback stories…
to future college athletes…

This night once again showed how special high school sports are around Savannah and the Coastal Empire.

And remember, athletes have already been named to the Savannah Morning News all-area teams.

Every sport, which included all 14 Savannah-area teams, was also recognized. Many athletes and teams had outstanding seasons and were recognized for their accomplishments this year.

Congratulations to all the winners and nominees on a great year.

And trust me, it takes a lot of time and hard work to put the final touches on all area teams. A night like this does not happen without a lot of hard work behind the scenes.

Special credit to Sports Reporter Dennis Knight of the Savannah Morning News, not only for his original reporting and coverage during the seasons, but also for his time and dedication in putting together another great event recognizing student-athletes from around the Coastal Empire the right way, as he does every year.
