John Carr Seaport Real Estate Prep Sports Report Baseball Players of the Week (February 24 - March 1, 2025)
New Hampstead's Messiah Worriels and Richmond Hill's Aiden Pluff and Noah Stone have been chosen the John Carr Seaport Real Estate Prep Sports Report Baseball Players of the Week for February 24 - March 1, 2025, after standout performances on the field.
Player of the Week – Messiah Worriels (New Hampstead, Senior)
Worriels delivered a dominant performance at the plate and on the pitching mound, going 4-for-5 with three singles, a triple, two RBIs, and three stolen bases. On the mound, he struck out nine batters while allowing just one hit and one run in four innings against Groves on February 25.
"Messiah was a leader in every way," said New Hampstead head coach Noah Winstead. "He nearly hit for the cycle, led in stats, and brought energy to the team as captain."
Pitchers of the Week – Aiden Pluff (Senior) & Noah Stone (Junior), Richmond Hill
Pluff and Stone combined for a two-hit shutout in a 5-0 win over Savannah Christian on February 25. Pluff tossed four no-hit innings with five strikeouts, while Stone closed with three scoreless innings, allowing two hits and striking out two.
"Aiden and Noah have both been exceptional for us this season," said Richmond Hill head coach Thomas Hill.
