The Benedictine Military School Football program continues to get accolades after a successful season that began slowly but ended with a state championship. Several Cadet players and head coach were honored by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution (AJC), Georgia's major daily newspaper.

First, Danny Britt, the head coach of Benedictine Military School, was named the AJC's Class AAAA Football Coach of the Year. Britt has been in charge of the Cadet program for eleven years and has won three state championships. Holden Geriner, a senior quarterback for the Cadets and an Auburn signee, was named GHSA Class AAAA Offensive Player of the Year and first-team offensive!

In addition, three more Cadets were named to the AJC first team. On offense, Justin Thomas, a Georgia Bulldog baseball commit, as a running back and junior Za'Quan Bryan as a wide receiver. Holden Sapp, linebacker, who committed to West Point, was named to the First-Team Defensive squad.
