This coming weekend the Clay Shooting team of Benedictine Military School will take on their biggest competition of the year as they compete in the Georgia Independent Schools Association clay shooting championships. This will set the Cadets perfectly to complete their goal of defending their state title from last year.

"Team relationships always grow as new shooters find their place within the team, and we get closer to this time of year. Everything we do is geared towards the GISA State Championship." Stated Coach Brennan Lemieux. The boys have worked hard this season, and now it is time for all of that hard work to pay off. As the season leads up to this moment, the Cadets have continued to practice hard and "hone their skills," as head Coach Howard Morrison said.

Even with all of the hard work they have put in, the boys of BC have not been exempt from hardships. "Covid has been an ever-present issue. We have had several Cadets makeup shoots, and they have done so without missing a beat. They were not shaken, just put their minds to the task at hand and persevered." Commented Coach Morrison. This weekend we will be able to see all of that perseverance pay off.

These Cadets shooters know what hard work looks like and are motivated to defend their state title. When asked about the boy's work ethic, Coach Morrison said, "The Cadets have the drive and desire to win. They are dedicated to the sport and spend their free time practicing to hone their skills and better their scores."

The BC Cadets clay shooting team is ready to take aim and put their hard work to the test. The Georgia Independent School Association (GISA) state championship started yesterday and continues today and Saturday at the Forest City Gun Club in Savannah, Georgia. We wish these Cadets much luck as they compete this weekend as they attempt to bring a championship back to Benedictine Military School.
