Kaylyn Gill, a senior at St. Vincent’s Academy, is this week’s Coach’s Corner Volleyball Player of the Week.

In four matches last week (August 25–27), St. Vincent’s Academy (13-4/4-0) relied on Gill in multiple roles as she displayed her skills. As an outside hitter, she recorded 13 kills. She also took charge as a setter, providing 42 assists. Then 25 aces (serves).

Additionally, she achieved a special milestone from the service line with 25 consecutive service points. A SVA highlight was a 25–0 win over Savannah High on August 25, during which, with the support of her teammates (no errors), she served every point for a perfect game—an achievement rare among volleyball players and teams.

“Kaylyn had a big week, and she has been a super strong and reliable player for us,” said St. Vincent’s head head coach Sarah Stewart. “I am excited to see her bright future and very glad to have her!”

Last season, Gill earned first-team honors on both the GHSA Coaches All-Area 3A team and the Savannah Morning News All-Greater Savannah team. She contributed 383 assists and 231 kills, numbers that helped the Saints reach the GHSA Class A-3A private school state quarterfinals.

With her versatility, Gill is a key factor as St. Vincent’s pushes deeper into the season.
