Two St. Vincent’s Academy seniors are taking their volleyball talents to the next level: Briana Tuten is headed to Saint Peter’s University, while Kaylyn Gill will continue at Pensacola State College.

Tuten, the Region Player of the Year, capped her senior season with a strong all-around performance. The senior outside hitter led the Saints with 330 kills over 102 sets. She posted 834 total attacks with just 124 errors, earning a 40% kill rate, and helped St. Vincent’s achieve another strong finish in the GHSA Class A Division I ranks.

Despite missing almost her entire junior season (playing in only four games), Tuten still delivered an impressive four-year varsity career. Over 278 sets, she totaled 495 career kills and contributed 503 digs, establishing herself as one of the area’s most complete players. Turning to Gill, her teammate blended a different skill set to fuel the Saints' success.

Gill, a senior setter and all-region first-team selection, was the engine behind St. Vincent’s offense. She finished her senior campaign with 281 assists in 58 sets — an average of 4.8 assists per set — along with 147 kills. Over her career, Gill compiled 890 assists, averaging 3.9 per set, and added 511 kills, complementing Tuten’s all-around game.

Both players drove St. Vincent’s success this season, combining leadership with consistent production on both ends of the court.

As they prepare for their next chapters—Tuten in Jersey City, New Jersey, and Gill in Pensacola, Florida—these two Saints continue St. Vincent's proud tradition of volleyball players advancing to compete at the collegiate level.
