Cooper George Hitting his way to the Savannah Christian Athlete of the Week

This week’s SCPS Athlete of the Week is Cooper George.

Cooper George finished the week with a .667 batting average, 1 home run, 4 RBI’s, and 3 runs over 2 games. Cooper has been playing baseball since he was 3 years old and says his goal for the season is to win the state championship.

Cooper says his favorite part of being an SCPS athlete is the support he gets from players and coaches and says his favorite memory is winning the series against Calvary this year. When asked what it means to be named SCPS Athlete of the Week, Cooper said, “It is a great honor to be recognized for hard work”
