Dodson top sophomore at GHSA cross country state meet

Benedictine cross country runner John Dodson was the top overall sophomore finisher for all classifications at the recently completed Georgia State High School Association cross country state championship meet in Carrollton, Ga.

Dodson, who finished 9th overall in Class AAAA, ran the 5,000 meter race in 17:01.27, less than a minute behind Class AAAA champion Alex Arrambide from East Forsyth High School. BC freshman Asher Herrin also turned in a strong performance, finishing 57th out of 213 runners with a time of 18:51.84.
