Savannah's Bear Dollander, a rising junior at Benedictine Military School, posted scores of 72-67-73 to finish 4-under par at T3 at the American Junior Golf Association's Matthew Nesmith Junior Championship played June 3-5 at The Wildwood Club in Colubmia, S.C.
Savannah's Kohki Maeda, a rising sophmore at Savannah Country Day School, was also in the field and carded scores of 75-71-74 to finish alone in 16th place at 4-over par.
Dollander, who won the Georgia High School Association Class AAAA state tournament in May, was tied for the lead after two rounds in Columbia. After a brief stumble during the final round, he made a late charge up the leaderboard to climb in a share of third place.
