Savannah's Bear Dollander, a senior at Benedictine Military School, will begin the final round of the Georgia Junior Amateur Championship in fourth place after a second-round score of 2-under par 70 on July 7 at Coosa Country Club in Rome, Ga.

Dollander, who has committed to play college golf at the University of Alabama, was Even-par through 16 holes in his second round before making birdies on his final two holes to finish at 8-under par, three strokes behind leader Bodie Brumlow of Cartersville, Ga. Dollander claimed the 2025 Georgia High School Association Class AAAA state championship and finished T4 at the 2026 Georgia Amateur Championship played in June at the Ocean Forest Golf Club on Sea Island, Ga.

Richmond Hill's Patrick Mahaffey, who graduated from Richmond Hill High School in the spring, is also in contention after a second round score of 2-under par 70 left him T9 at 4-under par for the tournament.

In addition to Dollander and Mahaffey, Richmond Hill's Ledger Conley, who will play for Jacksonville University next year, made the 36-hole cut after rounds of 68-75 left him at 1-over par at T18, and Savannah's Morris Lane, a 2026 graduate of St. Andrew's School who will play college golf at Savannah College of Art & Design, also made the cut at T51 after rounds of 75-73 put him at 5-over par.
