Region tournament week is already crowning champions across the Savannah area.

The Habersham boys captured the Georgia Association of Private & Parochial (GAPPS) I-A Region 4 title with a strong 61–39 win over Trinity Christian. Whitt Sullivan led the way with 16 points, and Landon Essenburg added 14. Sullivan and Essenburg were named All-Region, along with Luke Wilson and Andrew Bland. The Patriots head into the state tournament as a No. 1 seed.

The Habersham girls finished as region runner-up after falling to Trinity Christian 30–22 in the championship game. Gaby Kenard scored 11 points to lead the Patriots. They enter state play as a No. 2 seed next week.

The focus now moves statewide. The Georgia High School Association (GHSA) region tournaments began Saturday and continue today. While some teams are already in region brackets, others are still battling through region tournaments this week to get one of the four spots to move on to the state playoffs.

The Georgia Independent Athletic Association (GIAA) basketball playoffs will take place February 17–18, 2026. The South Carolina Independent School Association (SCISA) state basketball playoffs begin February 20, 2026, and both region tournaments are scheduled to run next week following the GHSA events underway this week.

Below is today's schedule followed by the rest of the week.
