GHSA, GIAA, GAPPS, SCISA Coaches Slam Dunk All-Region Teams Girls & Boys

Over the past few weeks, Savannah area Georgia High School Association, Georgia Independent Athletic Association, the Georgia Association of Private & Parochial Schools, and the South Carolina Independent Schools Association coaches have announced their respective all-region teams and association teams for the 2023-2024 season. 

This includes the Players of the Year, Special Players of the Year, Coach of the Year, and first, second, and honorable mention teams. Each region has its own process for selecting all-region teams. Special honors for Coach and Region Players of the Year were named and the Savannah Area recieved four coaches and nine players being awarded this honor besides all-region status.

The "Coach" Karl DeMasi has been teaching and coaching for the past 35 years on all levels of academia and athletics. One of his hobbies has been writing, announcing and talking about sports. DeMasi has been involved in the Savannah Area sports scene since 1995, and he created the high school magazine "The Prep Sports Report" in 2000. In 2010, the "Coach" started broadcasting The Karl DeMasi Sports Report. He's still going strong, broadcasting on Facebook live and Twitter live every Saturday morning. You gotta love it!
