GHSA Girls Flag Football pulling playoff flags Tuesday - Calvary, SVA Area Champions host

Six local teams will play in the first and possibly in the second round of the 2022  Georgia High School State Association (GHSA) Flag Football Class A - 4A state playoffs on Tuesday, November 29, 2002. The teams are AE Beach High School, Calvary Day School, New Hampstead High School, Richmond Hill High School, Savannah Country Day, and St. Vincent's Academy. The winner of these pods will move on to the GHSA quarterfinals on Thursday, December 1. 

 

 

 

Calvary Day School won the GHSA Division 1 Area 1 for the third straight season (three-peat), and St. Vincent's Academy won Division 1 Area 2 again to make it back-to-back. By winning the area, they will host the first and second-round games. New Hampstead will go to Southeast Bulloch. Richmond Hill will travel to Columbus, Georgia.  

The winners of the first round move on to the second round 15 minutes after the game ends. The winner of the second-round match moves on to play in the quarterfinals. The schedule is below.

 

At Calvary Day School
Game 1 - Savannah Country Day vs. Calvary at 6 pm
Game 2 - Wheeler Co. vs. Jordan at 7 pm
Second Round
Game 3 - Winner Game vs. Winner game  at 8 pm

 

At Memorial Stadium Host St. Vincent's Academy
Game 1 - Beach vs. St. Vincent's at 4 pm
Game 2 - Sumter Co. vs. Dodge Co. at 5 pm
Second Round
Game 3 - Winner Game vs. Winner game at 6 pm

 

At Southeast Bulloch
Game 1 - Spencer vs. SE Bulloch  at 5 pm
Game 2 - New Hampstead vs. Lowndes at 6 pm
Second Round
Game 3 - Winner Game vs. Winner game at 7 pm

 

At Columbus Georgia
Game 1 - Richmond Hill vs. Long Co.  at 5 pm
Game 2 - Swainsboro vs. Columbus at 6 pm
Second Round
Game 3 - Winner Game vs. Winner game at 7 pm
