The Specialty Sports Girls' Player of the Week are two underclassmen: Richmond Hill High School Sophomore Kamryn Martinez and freshman Olivia Aikens from St. Vincent's Academy. Their accomplishments are a source of pride and dedication, and congratulations to this week's recipients. Here is the reason why below!

SPECIALITY SPORTS GIRLS SOCCER Players of the Week

Kamryn Martinez, Richmond Hill High School, Goalie, so.: The Wildcats clinched their second straight Region 1-7A title with a 4-0 win over Lowndes, thanks to their sophomore goalie Kamryn Martinez who stopped seven shots on goal.

Coach's Comment: "Kamryn always steps up to the plate when needed. She works hard and gives maximum effort in everything she does. In games like this, her vocal leadership is expected as she is the only player that can see the entire pitch. She was effective in organizing the defense/ midfield, and continues to provide support in other ways aside from saving shots on goal.." - Richmond Hill High School Head Coach Kelly ANderson.

Olivia Aikens, St. Vincent's Academy, Striker/Midfielder, fr.: Olivia scored six goals against Groves in a 11-0 SVA victory on March 19, 2024.

Coach's Comment: "Olivia has been a dominant player up top for us this year. She is a very confident and comfortable soccer player and she's super fun to watch. Can't wait to continue to watch her grow at SVA." - St. Vincent's Academy Sarah Stewart.
