At their tenth weekly meeting on the Southside, the Savannah Quarterback Club was once again passing out more trophies.

Week 10

Offensive Player of the Week

Ted Hurst, Johnson High School, Wide Receiver

The senior Atom Smasher came through against Windsor Forest two weeks ago in a huge way. Ted scored two touchdowns, one on the ground and one in the air, demonstrating his versatility as a player. In his senior year, Ted had six touchdowns to his name. On the night, the senior even played cornerback and made a tackle.

Defensive Player of the Week

Peyton Cromwell, Savannah Christian, Linebacker

It was a massive night two weeks ago for the senior Raider, who had 21 total tackles in the win against Aquinas. Solo tackles were involved in seven of the tackles, and four of the tackles resulted in the loss of the game. A tremendous senior season has already yielded more than 100 sacks for Peyton. That Peyton was also named defensive player of the week in 2020 should not be overlooked.
