Low Country Flag Football to host camp and end of Summer Flag Football Shootout

This week, a local flag football organization, Low Country Flag Football, in conjunction with the Chatham County Recreation Department, has put together a three-day camp, July 20 to July 22, for sixth through 12-grade girls in Savannah, Georgia, and the surrounding area. The camp will be held at Morris Field next to Grayson Stadium from 6 pm to 7:30 pm, and the cost is $10.00.

 

The flag football girl's head coach at Calvary Day School, Nick Grassi, said, "The sport is growing, and we need to help the girls to experience playing the game, and we need to help the girls get better." Also, Grassi stated coaches are welcomed and needed. "Coaches are welcome to come help as well. So, bring your girls so we can set everyone up with drills and teach together," said Grassi. Low Country Flag Football will host another flag tournament here in Savanna, Georgia, on July 30 and 31. Ths organization has had two successful tournaments, and this is the last one before school starts. Please consider the opportunity to improve your girls by getting them on the field. The cost is 275 per team.

 

It will be pool play and single elimination, much like any other travel sport you have been a part of; there will be a four-game guarantee. LCFF will have shirts and trophies for the winner.
