He's back! Savannah's Nolan Smith Jr., a two-time national champion and first-round draft pick of the Philadelphia Eagles, is returning to his hometown to host his 4th annual FREE "Pups Day Out" youth football camp. The camp will occur on Saturday, July 13, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Floyd E. Morris Field and is sold out.
Smith, who is preparing for his second season as a defensive end with the Philadelphia Eagles, will be joined by local coaches and former Savannah players. They will provide participants with football guidance, hands-on instruction, fundamental skill stations, contests, games, and lectures in an exciting and positive environment.
The camp is free for kids aged 10-13. It is the fourth year of this charity event organized by Smith, a University of Georgia product. Smith played his freshman high school season at Calvary Day School before transferring to IMG Academy. The camp will be held at Floyd E. Morris Field in Daffin Park, at 1500 Victory Drive.
