PLAYOFF ROUNDUP: Who won and who got knocked out?

The latest results from the playoff games and matches played on April 29, 2024:

Baseball

GHSA Class 3A:

Calvary Day School beat Morgan County in two games: 8-4 and 7-6 (12 innings). Calvary advances to the GHSA Class 3A Quarterfinals.

GIAA:

Fullington Academy defeated Memorial Day School twice: 18-7 and 20-0. Memorial Day School is eliminated.

Soccer

GIRLS:

In Class 3A, Oconee County won against Savannah Country Day 1-0, eliminating Savannah Country Day.

Wesleyan defeated St. Vincent's 9-1, eliminating St. Vincent's.

In Class 2A, Model won against Savannah Arts 3-1.

Tennis

BOYS:

Lumpkin won against Savannah Country Day 3-2, eliminating Savannah Country Day.

GIRLS:

In Class 2A, Savannah Arts won against Mt. Paran 3-0, advancing to the Final Four.

In Class 3A, Oconee County won against Savannah Country Day 3-0, eliminating Savannah Country Day.

In GAPPS (Georgia Association of Private & Parochial Schools):

Boys Doubles: Ike Barry and Hamilton Colley defended their title, winning the GAPPS D I Individual State Doubles Championship.

 

Girls Doubles: Betsy Kelly and Georgia Reed won the GAPPS D I Individual Girls Doubles championship.

 

 

Girls Singles: Anna Cadle won the GAPPS D I Girls Singles state championship.

Schedule for April 30, 2024:

Boys Soccer

Class 3A:

Savannah Country Day (15-0-1) will play against Hebron Christian (13-1-2) at 6 p.m.

Class A Division I:

Mt. Vernon (9-4-4) will play against Woodville-Tompkins (11-4-1) at Memorial Stadium, 5 p.m.

DeMasi has been involved in the Savannah Area sports scene since 1995, and he created the high school magazine "The Prep Sports Report" in 2000.
