Week 6 Is Here. Who Plays Who and Where?
Five weeks are in the books, and now it is getting interesting.
Richmond Hill is 5-0. South Effingham is 4-0. Bethesda Academy is 3-0. Benedictine has won three straight. But Friday night doesn't care much about what you did last week.
Week 6 is here. Let's get to it.
THE WEEK 6 RUNDOWN
Richmond Hill at East Coweta: Richmond Hill is 5-0, but the Wildcats face a very good East Coweta team on the road, another good test.
Savannah Country Day at Bethesda Academy: Country Day got its first win last week. Now the Hornets get another tough non-region game against unbeaten Bethesda.
Augusta Prep at St. Andrew’s: St. Andrew’s has dropped three straight. Home on Friday night would be a pretty good place to turn things around.
Bradwell Institute at Effingham County: Bradwell is starting to turn things around, but don't get fooled by Effingham's record. The Rebels always play a tough non-region schedule.
South Effingham at Grovetown: South Effingham is 4-0. Don't worry about Grovetown being 0-4. It's a region road game. Take care of business.
Benedictine at Richmond Academy: Benedictine has won three straight. Now the Cadets go back on the road for another test against unbeaten Richmond Academy.
Jenkins at Groves: Jenkins got one last week. Groves is still looking for its first. Somebody leaves Garden City feeling better Friday night.
New Hampstead at Liberty County: Both teams are 1-3, and this one counts in the region. Pretty important Friday night for both.
Islands at Beach: Both are coming off losses. Now it's a Savannah matchup at Memorial Stadium with a region win on the line.
Johnson at Tattnall County: Both teams come in 1-3. Somebody has a chance to get things moving in the right direction.
Bryan County at Warren County: Bryan County is still looking for its first win. The Redskins get another chance Friday night on the road.
Rockdale County at Calvary Day: It's Homecoming at Calvary, but the Cavaliers better be ready to play. A very good 3-1 Rockdale County team is coming to town.
Claxton at Savannah High: Claxton comes in 4-1. Savannah High is still looking for its first win, tough assignment for the Blue Jackets.
