Richmond Hill's Hayden Price, a rising high school senior, carded a score of 2-over 74 at the Marshwood course at the Landings Club to finish T3 in the medal play round of the Georgia Stat Golf Association's Women's Match Play Champion being played August 5-7.
Savannah's Mary Miller, a Savannah Christian Preparatory School graduate who plays collegiately for the University of Mississippi, and Kate Barber, a Savannah Country Day graduated headed to Auburn University to play college golf, tied for low medalist honors with scores of 1-over par 73. Guyton's Madi Saxton and Savannah's Ava Cottis also qualified for the match play bracket.
Miller and Cottis, who were teammates at Savannah Christian, will face each other in the quarterfinals, and Barber will play Erin Packer from Peachtree City, Georgia. Price will play either Lacy Shelton from Smyrna, Ga., or Brianna Bassett from McDonough, Ga.
