Richmond Hill's Hayden Price is tied for the lead in the Girls 15-19 age group following a first-round score of 5-over 76 at the Southeastern Junior Golf Tour's St. Simon's Island Junior being played at Sea Palm's on St. Simon's Island.

While Price is in a battle with co-leader Vivian Lott from Fayetteville, Ga., Richmond Hill's Sahaj Patel cruised to a four-stroke lead after a 5-over 76 in his frist round. Patel leads Ethan Tillery from Eatonton, Ga., by four strokes and was the only player to break 80 in the tournament's first round in the Boys 12-13 age group.

Price is in a differnet situation on a crowded leaderboard. She is only one stroke ahead of Olivia Hodges from from Johns Creek, Ga., Peyton Johnson from Tallahassee, Fla., and Pearl Hughes from Dawsonville, Ga.

In the Boys 16-19 age group, Savannah's Morris Lane, a junior at St. Andrew's School, is T6 after carding a score of 3-over par 74 in the first round. He will start the second round five strokes behind leader Lee Smith from Marietta, Ga., who was the only player in the field to break par with a 2-under par 69.
